Headache Relief (Meditation and EFT) with Enrique Astorga

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011, from 7-8pm

Massage your headaches away

by donation, 10$ suggested

During her second massage treatment to reduce stress, one of my clients commented that for the first time in years her headaches were almost gone. As I reviewed her intake chart, I noticed that there was no mention of headaches. So I asked her why she hadn't mentioned this in her health history. As with most of my clients, her response was that she had learned to live with headaches, since no one had been able to help her get rid of them.
Studies have shown that up to 90% of headaches are caused by muscular tension, which originates from stress, allergies, toxins, skeletal anomalies or trigger points (hypersensitive muscular spots). Muscular imbalances around the upper back, shoulder and neck regions can cause pain patterns that directly affect the head region, resulting in the common headache.
As massage therapists, we are well trained to release muscular tension and imbalances. If you suffer from recurring headaches and would prefer not to use painkillers to mask the pain symptoms, talk to your massage therapist. We may be able to help relieve your headaches by treating the underlying cause of your pain.

This upcoming workshop will teach you the techniques to massage and meditate your headache tension away!
